Sekelle Nathan is a South Carolina-based moss artist and the founder of the Association of Moss Artists. Her work explores storytelling, memory, atmosphere, and emotional connection through the medium of preserved moss.
Moving beyond traditional biophilic design language, Nathan approaches moss as a fine art medium capable of carrying narrative, nostalgia, color, and place. Her pieces often blend natural textures with painterly composition to create immersive works that feel both organic and deeply personal.
Through her artistic practice and the founding of AOMA, Nathan advocates for the recognition of moss art as a legitimate and evolving contemporary art form.
